FAQ
What is the difference between the Beta Glucan (1,3) and the Beta Glucan (1,3 1,6)?
Beta Glucan (1,3) undergoes standardize testing for Omega 1,3 double bonds whereas the Beta Glucan (1,3 1,6) undergoes testing for both Omega (1,3) and Omega (1,6) double bonds. It is unclear whether there actually is a physical difference in these two materials. Theoretically these two materials could be identical and the only difference between them might be the heftier price of the (1,3 1,6) and the fact that testing for (1,6) was done subsequent to manufacturing. Since we do not commission testing for the Omega (1,6) double bonds in the Omega (1,3) version of this product we can't say for certain whether there is a difference. Some researchers say that the (1,3 1,6) is a superior product and some other researchers say there is very little difference.
