I removed the link to our shipping estimates the other day. As most of you longtime Purebulk customers know…our shopping cart is unable to accurately calculate the LOWEST possible shipping costs for your orders. And since this is always what we charge you, the cost you see in the cart is unreliable, and we always modify your charge by hand before it gets accounted for by your banking establishment. We’ve been working hard on getting an accurate shipping module working, as we know it’s kind of frustrating to just say “Hey Guys…don’t believe our shopping cart!”.
We are very close, and a real module should be implemented within the next few weeks.
Bob Augello brought something to my attention this morning.
After submitting an order your website states:
"Order #11621 has been received! If your order was placed before 3pm, it will be shipped out today."
So the site states in one location an order placed before 1pm will be shipped same day and in another location that if placed before 3pm it will be shipped out same day.
This should be corrected and of course, whichever one you choose, it should be something a customer can count on. If this can't be done more than 90% of the time you should consider changing how you define your shipping details as failing to keep a simple commitment of this sort can only have negative impacts on your long term business.
Thankyou Bob for pointing this out. You see…once upon a time we WERE able to get all orders out before 1pm. And then later, we had to move it back to 3pm. And now…even later, Mondays are so busy Timothy has to ship the majority of them out on the Next day. It was my fault that these things weren’t being clearly communicated. Thanks for the help Bob, sorry if this caused any inconvenience for you.
