Ginkgo Biloba 24%/6% Standardized Extract (PE) Powder, 100 grams

This food grade pure bulk powder Ginkgo Biloba 24/6 is assayed by the manufacturer to be 26.12% Ginkgo Flavones and 6.88% Terpene Lactone. You will receive a sealed and labeled heavy duty 4 mil polyethylene bag containing 100 grams of this reddish-brown powdered extract. One hundred grams is also 100 grams, or approximately 3.527 ounces by weight. You won't receive the fancy retail packaging, but you will receive a great deal at or below wholesale prices for a high purity bulk quantity of this product. Ginkgo Biloba 24/6 PE is a very bitter tasting powder but it can be mixed with hot or cold water or with any sweetened or unsweetened beverage.

Ginkgo Biloba 24/6 is standardized extraction from the leaves of the Ginkgo biloba L. tree. The Ginkgo Biloba tree is a very old species with fossil records dating back more than 200 million years. Some individual trees have been known to live more than 1000 years. The Ginkgo Biloba leafy herb has been a traditional Chinese herbal medicine for many hundreds of years, but this 24/6 standardized powdered extraction has only been produced since the early 1980's. Modern scientific research and numerous clinical studies have shown that oral supplementation of this 24/6 Standardized Extraction of the Ginkgo Biloba leaf to have numerous therapeutic and health benefits including increased blood circulation, enhanced memory, mood elevation, mental acuity and free radical scavenging antioxidant. Ginkgo Biloba standardized extraction has also been shown to be effective in the treatment vascular insufficiency and hearing disorders.

The commonly recommended dose for Ginkgo Biloba 24/6 PE varies from as little as 10mg per dose two or three times per day to as much as 200mg per dose two or three times per day. A level 1/16 (one sixteenth) teaspoon of this pure bulk powder Ginkgo Biloba 24/6 PE will approximate 175 milligrams by weight. Taking a level 1/16 teaspoon three times per day will approximate a total daily dose of 525 milligrams, a reasonably effective dose for most people. Since 1/16 measuring teaspoons are somewhat rare and/or difficult to obtain you may consider half filling a US Standard level 1/8 (one eighth) teaspoon to approximate a 175 to 200mg single dose. Side Effects and Symptoms of Overuse: No major adverse effects have been reported with any clinical trials of Ginkgo Biloba. Rare and somewhat minor side effects reported include mild gastrointestinal discomfort and headache. Single doses of Ginkgo Biloba 24/6 PE larger than 1 gram, or more rarely single doses larger than 500 milligrams, have been known to cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, excitability and restlessness in some users.
