Inositol hexanicotinate also known as inositol nicotinate, is a nutritional supplement commonly taken as a flush-free niacin (vitamin B3) analog.

Inositol hexanicotinate is a derivative of inositol (Vitamin B8), that has been esterified with niacin (Vitamin B3) on all six of inositol's alcohol groups. Inositol is a water-soluble nutrient that supports the formation and maintenance of healthy cells. Inositol is important as a derivative of cell membrane compounds, such as phosphatidylinositol, as well as a number of signaling and secondary messenger molecules. Inositol was formerly classified as a vitamin but was discovered to be a non-essential nutrient because it can be synthesized by intestinal bacteria within the body from glucose.

Niacin, also called nicotinic acid or Vitamin B3, is a water-soluble member of the complex of B vitamins. Niacin is important because of its importance to roles in energy metabolism and anabolism especialyl the synthesis of compounds such as coenzymes NAD+, NADP+, NADH and NADPH.
