Details
L-carnitine is a non-protegenic amino acid that is involved in fatty acid oxidation. It is derived from the amino acids L-lysine and L-methionine, and is naturally produced in the liver and kidneys. L-Carnitine is used in the human body in the catabolism and transport of fatty acids within mitochondria.
Supplementation of L-carnitine may help support energy metabolism and the nervous system.
