L-Arginine HCL, 1.5 kilograms
This pharmaceutical grade amino acid L-Arginine HCL assayed by the manufacturer to be 99.46% product. You will receive a sealed and labeled heavy-duty 4 mil polyethylene bag containing 1.5 kilograms of this white powder product. One and one half kilograms is also one thousand five hundred grams, or 1500 grams, or approximately 3.307 pounds, or approximately 52.911 ounces by weight. You won't receive the fancy retail packaging, but you will receive a great deal at or below wholesale prices for a high purity bulk quantity of this product. This product dissolves quickly in water and has a slightly bitter taste, not as bitter as L-Arginine Base, and not as pleasing a sour taste as either AAKG or L-Arginine Pyroglutamate. L-Arginine HCL has a mildly bitter taste that most people do not have trouble getting accustomed to. Just mix your usual dose with water or citrus juice and drink.

Recommended oral doses for L-Arginine HCL vary in the published scientific literature from as little as one to three grams per day to as much as 20 to 30 grams per day. Some people taking very large doses of more than 10 to 20 grams in a single dose occasionally report gastric upset, but few if any other side effects have been reported clinically even at high doses. L-Arginine HCL is occasionally sold in capsules, however, capsule sellers tend to publish recommended doses much smaller than the clinically determined minimum beneficial dose owing to profit concerns. Clinical studies confirming the beneficial effects for oral supplementation of L-Arginine have determined minimum beneficial doses to be in the range of 10 to 20 grams per day for a 75 kilogram (165 pound) human (L-Arginine HCL is approximately 83% L-Arginine and 17% Chloride). While L-Arginine HCL does have a slightly lower L-Arginine content then L-Arginine Base (83% versus 100% respectively), L-Arginine Base is one of the worst tasting amino acids on the planet and is seldom taken as a bulk powder (it is almost always taken in capsules). However, at the typical minimum beneficial doses recommended by researchers taking 10 to 20 grams L-Arginine Base in capsules per day is both inconvenient and many times more expensive than L-Arginine HCL bulk powder.
