Magnesium Citrate, 1.5 kilograms

Magnesium Citrate is a salt of magnesium and citric acid. You will receive a sealed and labeled heavy duty 4 mil polyethylene bag containing 1.5 kilograms of this pure bulk powder. One and a half kilograms is also one thousand five hundred grams, or 1500 grams, or approximately 3.307 pounds, or approximately 52.911 ounces by weight. You won't receive the fancy retail packaging, but you will receive a great deal at or below wholesale prices for a high purity bulk quantity of this product.

Laxative Use: When taken as a laxative for adults and children 12 years of age and older, typical doeses for magnesium citrate range from between 12 to 16 grams. For children 3 to 11 years of age typical doses are about half that of the adult dose. When taken as a laxative it is important to drink plenty of water with your dose and it is best taken on an empty stomach. Mix your dose in 8 ounces of water and then follow immediately by drinking an additional 8 to 10 ounces of water brining total water consumed to 16 to 18 fluid ounces (about 500 millileters). Oral magnesium citrate draws water into the intestines and gut acting as a stool softener. Typically it will be 4 to 6 hours before you see results. Consult your physician before taking this product if you believe that your constipation and/or bowel problesms are unusual or out of the ordinary.

Magnesium Supplement: As a magnesium supplement typical adult doses of magnesium citrate range from 250 milligrams to 500 milligrams daily, best taken in two divided doses.
