Niacinamide, also called nicotinamide, nicotinic acid amide or Vitamin B3, is a water-soluble member of the complex of B vitamins.
PureBulk offers two forms of Vitamin B3 that are commonly used as supplements: niacin and niacinamide. The chemical difference between the two forms is that niacinamide has an amide group attached to the basic niacin form. Both compounds can be converted into the coenzymes NAD+, NADP+, NADH and NADPH, playing key roles in energy metabolism and anabolism.
Niacinamide has not been shown to produce the flushing, itching, and burning sensations of the skin as is commonly seen when large serving sizes of Niacin are administered orally.

I added 1 teas. niacinamide (3,012 mg) to my daily blend of nutrients which I put in my morning shake of ice water and a banana, and have found it to be extremely bitter. I would suggest starting with a smaller amount, and titrating up. I am taking niacinamide to improve cellular sensitivity to insulin and to re-grow hair on my head lost from endocrine dysfunction.
