Magnesium L-Aspartate is insoluble in water. Please put this in capsules or add to fruit juice or smoothies to aid in taking.
Magnesium L- aspartate is a source of magnesium, combined as a chelate with L-aspartic acid. Both magnesium and L-aspartic acid play important roles in human metabolism. Magnesium L- aspartate, taken as a dietary supplement provides both magnesium, a mineral with a fundamentally important physiological function in the body, and L-aspartic acid, a natural amino acid which occurs largely as a component of food proteins.
Dietary magnesium is required by every cell in the body and is a necessary component in hundreds of metabolic processes. Magnesium supports muscle, immune and nerve function, and energy transport. Magnesium functions as a cofactor in many biochemical reactions. Magnesium is also a coordinating ion for adenosine triphosphate (ATP) , the main carrier of metabolic energy in the body. Magnesium is also required for biosynthetic processes such as glycolysis, formation of cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), energy-dependent membrane transport, and transmission of genetic code for protein synthesis.
In the body, L-aspartic acid is an integral component of many proteins and is involved in energy production as an intermediate in the Krebs citric acid cycle.
Magnesium L- aspartate consists of 12% magnesium by weight.
