Details
Vitamin E (DL-alpha tocopheryl acetate) oil is mainly used as a food preservative and a food additive used in the fortification of products that include margarine, oil and fat, nutrition products and baby food. It is a synthetic form of Vitamin E. While it is cheaper than other forms of Vitamin E, it is not as active in the body as the natural D-alpha tocopherol form of the vitamin found in the other PureBulk products.
Comparing the natural and synthetic forms, it takes 150 IU of synthetic (dl-) vitamin E to equal 100 IU of natural (d-) vitamin E.
The protective, nutritional antioxidant function of vitamin E works synergistically with other antioxidants, such as vitamin C, beta-carotene, glutathione (L-cysteine), and selenium.
Vitamin E keeps arteries flexible and elastic to allow blood to flow freely and helps prevent arteries from clogging.

Suggested Use
Vitamin E (DL) Oil's recommended use is as a preservative or additive used to fortify foods with the vitamin. While it sometimes used as a nutritional supplement, PureBulk recommends using the natural d-form vitamin E products listed in the "Reccomended Products" at the top right of the page for that purpose.
