00 Capsules

Size 00 capsules can hold around 750mg of supplement powder and are one of the most common sizes manufacturers use to make supplement capsules. They are the larger option for the average size gel capsules and measure approximately 2.33cm when locked. 00 capsules are great for supplements that call for larger doses or making supplement blends.

0 Capsules

Size 0 capsules are the smaller option for the average size capsules and are another industry favorite for making supplement capsules. They can hold around 500mg of supplement powder and are slightly longer than 2cm when locked. Although smaller than the 00 capsules, individuals can still use them to make supplement combos.

1 Capsules

Size 1 capsules are on the smaller side and measure less than 2cm in length. They can hold up to 400mg of supplement powder and are a great option for individuals that struggle to swallow larger capsules. They’re not as suitable for combining multiple supplements as the larger size gel capsules, but they’re a good size for many single supplement doses.

Filling empty gelatin capsules is tedious without The Capsule Machine and a milligram scale. The Capsule Machine is a tool that allows individuals to fill 24 capsules at a time in less than two minutes. To fill the capsules

1. Pull the empty capsules apart and load the long part into the filling base and the shorter top into the top holder of the capsule machine. Place the capsule machine inside the included stand. For an easier filling experience, use a tray to catch any spillage that may occur while filling the capsules.
2. Multiply the supplement dose by 24 and weigh out that amount of supplement powder on the milligram scale. For example, individuals will need 14.4g of supplement powder to fill each capsule with a 600mg dose.
3. Transfer the powder over to the digital scale. PureBulk’s SC - 2KG digital scale includes a convenient weighing tray to simplify this step.
4. Use the spread card included with the capsule machine to distribute the supplement powder into the capsules.
5. Wipe off any excess powder into the tray. Use the included tamping tool to compress the powder deeper into the capsule. Transfer the excess product from the tray back onto the capsule machine and finish distributing the supplement powder. Repeat the process as needed.
6. Remove the capsule machine from its stand and push the top piece down onto the base to lock the capsule halves together. Lift the top from the base and press on the back to eject the capsule from the top.
